Introducing Peerless Steel Nuggets - a fast cleaning, low cost, durable blast media for all blast cleaning. Use it the way you would use virgin steel shot. General ballast and reclaimed steel shot and grits are also available.

All metallic abrasives are sold by the net ton, or per 2,000lbs. Packaging normally consists of steel drums, although we can package into 50lb bags, palletized.

Ballast

Steel Ballast: Clean, screened and oil-free steel materials to meet your most stringent weight standards.

Custom Specs: Standard and custom blended metals from 4.5 to 7.8 gm/cc and up to 345#/cu.ft. You may select from punchings, steel aggregate, steel shot or a combination of these.

Pricing: Ballast cost is based on your required specific density, your required pounds per cubic feet, as well as the quantity ordered. We suggest you calculate the exact square feet of space you need to fill, then determine if a basic ballast such as a 265#/cu.ft. blend will meet your needs. We can supply up to a 320#/cu.ft. product, with cost rising as you increase the #/cu.ft. Therefore, if you have lots of space and do not need ballast with a high #/cu.ft. specification, then go with a cheaper, but lower #/cu.ft. product.

Reclaimed Shot & Grit

Reclaimed (used) steel grit and shot is available for purchase. Clients who previously were purchasing new material, are now switching to reclaimed, due to the rapidly rising scrap surcharges. Our reclaimed material has no added scrap surcharge, and is hundreds of dollars per net ton cheaper than new material.

Although the price of reclaimed media is more stable that new media (which will adjust monthly), reclaimed media will adjust as well. Please keep this in mind.
