White aluminum oxide is very pure, being used in applications where possible contamination to the media being blasted, cannot be tolerated. It is therefore much more expensive than brown. This is a friable media, much more friable than brown fused aluminum oxide. This means it will break down faster than brown aluminum oxide. It is therefore used in applications where either a high friability level is desired, or high purity is desired.
All of our aluminum oxides are virgin. White fused aluminum oxide is a Table II material, meeting both ANSI and FEPA gradation specifications.
This media is generally sold in 400lb drums, pallets (40, 50lb bags), or 2,000lb super sacks. However, you can order it online in small, 50lb containers. Please use our Quote Request link to obtain a custom freight quotation for quantities greater than 200 lbs.
