Green SiC is made from Silica sand and coke, and is extremely pure. Hexagonally shaped, it breaks into very sharp particles. Green SiC is harder than black, coming in at a 9.4 Mohs and 2600 on the Knoop scale. Green is often the media of choice when it comes wire sawing.
UNLESS your application requires an extremely pure SiC, by default, Black SiC is preferred due to its more economic pricing, as well as availability.

Wholesale Shipping & Packaging Information:
- Default Packaging: Default packaging is in 50lb pails, or 300 lb fiber drums.
- Tote Packaging: We can also package this in 2,200 lb super sacks. (1 metric ton)
- Discount Pricing: Please use our Quote Request form to obtain custom pricing on larger quantities, with freight. Remember to tell us your ship-to address and the total number of lbs or tons you want a bid on.
- Loading Dock: Generally, you need to have a commercial address with loading dock to receive orders over 200lbs. If you do not, we can ship it to a local terminal and you pick it up yourself from the terminal. We can also ship to a residential address, but this is very costly and not recommended.
Retail 25 lb Box Discounts (Off of Base Price of $76.00): Note that orders of 50lbs or more are generally shipped in a 5 gallon plastic pail or a 50lb box. They will not be shipped in 25lb boxes because this would increase freight costs.
