Precast Concrete Blasting

Glass abrasive is the preferred abrasive to use when blasting precast concrete panels, due to its clean, fast cutting action, as well as its color. Spent abrasive is white in color, making it possible to just leave it on the ground. As long as you are not blasting off anything with hazardous ingredients, such as lead paint, glass is an inert substance you can just leave on the ground where it essentially becomes a soil amendment.

Generally, the coarser grits are used for this type of blasting, especially if your goal is to expose the aggregate in the concrete.
