Virgin High Carbon Steel Cast Grit is ideal for both centrifugal wheel and air-blast applications, being available in all SAE (J444) grit sizes from G14 through G40. Our steel grit is a fast cleaning, low cost, durable blast media for all blast cleaning. It is very aggressive, very angular, and very fast cutting. It contains no rounded or semi-rounded surfaces. It is therefore cut faster and with less dust in your blast machine. Manufactured to SAE J1993 & SAE J444 Specifications. Produced by crushing high carbon shot to very angular particles. This is a very aggressive steel grit.
New grit normally consists of 1,700 lbs per 55 gallon steel drum, although we can package into 50lb bags, palletized for an added cost.

Steel Grit Sizes Available:
- G-14 through G-80. No avalability on new G50 or finer due to lack of availability. We should be able to sell you reclaimed grit however in finer sizes.
- NOTE: G-40 Cast Steel Grit is equivalent to S-280 Cast Steel Shot.
