Reclaimed (recycled) steel grit and shot is available for purchase, sold by the net ton. Reclaimed steel grits size 50 and 40, or steel shot 170, 230 are usually available. However, inventory changes constantly so please submit an RFQ to see what is in stock.
Reclaimed media is clean, screened, oil-free material, and can be hardened or softened according to your order.
NOTE: Reclaimed steel grit will not appear (visually) as angular as new steel grit does. It will round up/ball up with the first use, please see the photo above for a detailed image of what our reclaimed shot and grit looks like. Material at one time was Ervin Material (virgin) coming from a Metal on Metal blasting operation. It is then screened/cleaned/ran through dust collectors and meets or surpasses all SAE specifications.
Although the price of reclaimed media is more stable that new media (which will adjust monthly), reclaimed media will adjust as well. Please keep this in mind.
All metallic abrasives are sold by the net ton, or per 2,000lbs. Packaging normally consists of 2000 LB used steel drums, although we can package into 50lb bags, palletized.
