This product is a secial milled nanoparticle of ceramic grade green SiC: D50 is 0.5 micron in size - specifically for sintering applications. The actual average particle size is ~0.6 - 0.8 micron. This is often used as the base material for a SiC sintered ceramic product, such as nozzles, seals, rings. Our Green SiC powder is Alpha phase and has a minimum purity of 98% SiC (usually closer to 99-99.5% pure).
NOTE: This is the flour often used in spray dried recipes. It is not to be considered as a ready to press material. Customers have their own additives and procedures/ recipes, which is not known to us - this is considered proprietary information. The mixture is then spray dried to get a ready to press material before sintering. We cannot comment on recipes used. Recipes are quite involved and kept secret, please do not ask for this information.
Please Note: Custom Gradation is available and highly preferred for sintering applications. Please fax or email us your "ideal" particle distribution specs, and we will provide a custom quotation. If you do not have your own custom specifications to send us, we will sell you our standard sintering flour.
This material is sold by the pound, with a 5 lb minimum order. Please order online if you are ordering small quantities of less than 20lbs.
Please email us for larger order pricing. Typical packaging is 500kg bags.
Lead Time: 3 Business Days to date of shipping due to ISO Quality Control paperwork that we must complete prior to shipping.
Ask us about our Boron Carbide Sintering Aid , which is typically added at ~2% by weight.
