Our B4C powders are graded specifically for polishing and lapping Sapphire without scratching. Emphasis has been placed on grain shape during the crushing process, along with a special multi-stage double gradation process.
This Boron Carbide product (B4C-SP F400.5) features a double classification, with particle diameters approximately between 8 and 32 micrometers. A slightly coarser F360 grade (40/12 micrometers) is available and is also double classified.
Please note that the sapphire lapping products have an additional gradation step over and above a standard FEPA graded powder.
