Boron Caribde is often used for lapping, polishing, grinding, sintering, hot pressing forms, as well as special applications such as radiation shielding, bullet proof vests, tank armor.  Boron Carbide has hardness (9.3 - 9.5 Mohs) and chemical resistant properties similar to Diamond - thus being nicknamed "Black Diamond".  You may order Standard B4C powders on this page.  Our standard, abrasive grade powders are FEPA classified, single classification.  (Double classification is available, but this is a special process where we grade material per additional specifications.  You cannot order Double Classified Boron Carbide powder online, please call or email us with your specs and we will quote you.)
