FEPA Particle Sizes

Particle Size Specs

The majority of our products are graded to the FEPA Standard specifications, as provided in the table below.

However, because we sell a large number of types of abrasives, some are by default, graded to ANSI specs.

Therefore, please make sure you specify the gradation you require when placing your order.

Note: JIS and P Standard graded powder is available on request for fine sizes of black and Green Silicon Carbides, as well as Boron Carbides.

Our F1500 is finer than the F1200, and typically has a D50 between 0.5 micron and 2.1 micron, depending on how the sample was prepared for the Coulter.  So the D50 of this powder can range between 0.7 and 2.4 micron.   If you require a more specific D50 than this, we may be able to search current lot numbers to find one that is acceptable to you.  Please contact us with your desired specifications.
